Writing as Soul Medicine

Whether you feel disconnected from your soul, feel overwhelmed by the burdens it carries, or question its very existence, a writing practice can become a vital way to tend to the authentic, deep essence within.  In this workshop, we will follow in the footsteps of soulful writers—Rumi, William Stafford, Maya Angelou, and Clarissa Pinkola Estes—and uncover ways in which language can become a potent elixir in our lives. We will play with writing prompts designed to enliven the soul-voice and to guard against self-defeating tendencies like perfectionism. You will leave this workshop with a metaphorical medicine bag filled with a variety of remedies to tend to your singular, creative soul.
